Posting Date:1/5/2018, Approximate Age:13 weeks . Hi! My name is Joliet. I am a beautiful, long haired, fluffy kitten. I have a perfectly adorable kitten face, fluffy fur like a lion head rabbit, and dark black fur like a black lab. I have quite the look going on! I’m a special little girl that looking for a special home. I used to be feral for approximately the first 9 weeks of my life, but I was trapped and brought to another shelter at the beginning of December. My brother, Juneau, was trapped a week later. A person from the Humane Society rescued me from another shelter so I could go to a foster home and spend time socializing. My sister joined me at the foster home when she was trapped as well. We have both made some incredible progress! At first, I would not tolerate being around people or other animals. After about a month at the foster home, I now love to be petted, have lots of fun running around with my sister and playing with toys, and I even tolerate being held for short amounts of time. I understand how important it is to keep up my beautiful appearance, so I do very well being brushed daily. I’m not a fan of the young kids in the home and very rarely venture into the same room as them. The large and small senior dogs in the home are very calm and I don’t mind being around them. There is a female adult cat in the house as well and I seem to do ok with her. I have come such a long way learning to love and trust people and I need a fur-ever home that will be patient with me as I continue to learn how wonderful people can be.
