Thank you for your interest in the

Hancock County Humane Society!

We are a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter staffed entirely by volunteers and funded
entirely on donations from the local community. It is our goal to find permanent safe
and loving homes for the pets in our care.

We are currently open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for those interested in adopting.

Please CLICK HERE for information on making an appointment.
Our pet food pantry for those in need is open on Saturdays from 10am-1:30pm
(and most Tuesdays 5:30-7pm)
and donations may be dropped off then as well.
We ask general visitors to please postpone their visit to another time.
We thank you for your understanding.

 Community Foundation of Hancock County

We are proud recipients of a May 2024 grant from the

Hi! I'm Mayhem. I am a black and white female. I earned my name by escaping from the cage and hiding under a shelf. I was really scared and it took 2 nice volunteers to get me back to safety. I was semi-feral and more about Mayhem
Hi! I'm Diego. I am a very affectionate brown tabby male. I am a flirt and love attention. I love to give kitty kisses and to lay with or on my humans. I am a terrific work buddy and will help you by displaying myself more about Diego
