Thank you for your interest in the

Hancock County Humane Society!

We are a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter staffed entirely by volunteers and funded
entirely on donations from the local community. It is our goal to find permanent safe
and loving homes for the pets in our care.

Click here for details on how you can adopt your new best friend!

We are excited to begin accepting
Saturday appointments to
meet pets, on a limited basis, for adoption!

Please check out our online listings of available pets
(not all shelter residents are ready for adoption yet),
and contact us to schedule an appointment (11am-1:00pm Saturdays).
Please provide a contact phone number, the time you plan to come in,
and the pet(s) you would like to meet.

Volunteers may not be available to help unscheduled drop-ins.

We ask general visitors not interested in adoption at this time,
to please hold off just awhile longer on visiting,
until the shelter is fully open to the public.

(We are not yet able to resume intake of new pets.)

Thank you for your understanding!
