Thank you for your interest in the

Hancock County Humane Society!

We are a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter staffed entirely by volunteers and funded
entirely on donations from the local community. It is our goal to find permanent safe
and loving homes for the pets in our care.

COVID-19 STATEMENT

We are happy to announce that we are able to begin taking Saturday appointments
to meet pets for adoption!
PLEASE CLICK HERE for full details before requesting an appointment.

We ask general visitors to please postpone their visit to another time,
but our pet food pantry remains open.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regretfully, after discussion with the participating veterinarians,
we must announce the cancellation of our scheduled 2020 Low-Cost Vaccination Clinics.
We are all disappointed not to be able to provide this service at this time,
which is also a fundraiser for our shelter.
However, protecting the health and safety of veterinarians, volunteers, and attendees
requires this action. If circumstances later this year make it possible to reconsider holding the clinics,
we will happily do so. Thank you for your understanding.

A very special THANK YOU to all those who have supported our shelter
this winter with their time, skills, and donations.
